I had gone to sleep (way late) by the time of this request.

It looks like you progressed without it but it will be a while
before I get back to working on having good armv7 updates.

I have updated ports source to -r484783 in preparation. So I'll
have picked up your changes. Looks like qemu-user-static has
been updated for the issue that was giving me problems cross
building some things for armv7.
