xine works better for me (and your xine command is good for me too).
Are you PAL or NTSC user (if you use NTSC needs to select adequate profile)?

Output of file -s /dev/cxm0 reports something like this?
/dev/cxm0: MPEG system stream data
if not, something is no configured.

Please sendme dmseg -a |grep cxm for more information.
