I get lots of..
volume_open: SOUND_MIXER_READ_IGAIN failed: No such device or address
volume_open: SOUND_MIXER_READ_IGAIN failed: No such device or address
volume_open: SOUND_MIXER_READ_IGAIN failed: No such device or address
volume_open: SOUND_MIXER_READ_IGAIN failed: No such device or address

when it's recording though.

The recorded audio sounds kind of weird too..
