Hi,

Well sorry to do one more post about sony ...
I follow CURRENT (since 9momth) and still have a pb. Basically I want to
make work a lucent orinoco card om my laptop. But the problem is that
when I compile cbb/pccard/cardbus inside my kernel, my kernel crash.
Some time ago either my computer completly hang, nothing moving and
impossible to reboot it except by a power down. Now since a couple weeks
it's doing much better but still doesn't work.
Better see the logs, they are more explicit.

cbb0: <RF5C476 PCI-CardBus Bridge> irq 9 at device 5.0 on pci2
cbb0: PCI Memory allocated: e8200000
cardbus0: <CardBus bus> on cbb0
pccard0: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb0
cbb0: cbb_power: 0V
cbb1: <RF5C476 PCI-CardBus Bridge> at device 5.1 on pci2
cbb1: failed to enable memory mapping!
cbb1: PCI Memory allocated: e8201000
cardbus1: <CardBus bus> on cbb1
pccard1: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb1
pcib2: possible interrupts: 9
pcib2: slot 5 INTB routed to irq 9 via \\_SB_.LNKG
cbb1: cbb_power: 0V
pci2: <serial bus, FireWire> at device 5.2 (no driver attached) (<- I
removed the firewire from the kernel ... works fine without cbb)
fxp0: <Intel 82801CAM (ICH3) Pro/100 VE Ethernet> port 0x4000-0x403f mem 0xe8200000-0xe8200fff irq 9 at device 8.0 on pci2

inphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto

Then a bit later in the boot a get into this (full dmesg at the end):
Timecounters tick every 10.000 msec

db> c

I also checked in the gdb where it corresponds, I don't have the gdb log
but it was at the end of the function isitmychild on a return(0).

And finally the OS boot... but the fxp network interface doesn't work
properly. DHCP manage to get an IP, but then no traffic goes through the
interface. If I remove the pccard stuff, then fxp is working great. As
I remember when I have both pccard and firewire, then the kernel crash
just after loading the firewire but still with a cbb message like:
current process		= 22 (irq9: cbb0 cbb1++++)

I also tryed to remove all cbb, pccard and cardbus from the kernel and
load them as a module with kldload. Here the kernel boots without any
problem, I can have both the fxp and firewire loading correctly
(couldn't try the firewire as I have nothing to plug in).
The orinoco card is found (but doesn't work). You can also see another
card which is a pcmcia adapter for compactflash memory card but I don't
really care of it right now(better if it works anyway).
Here is what I get:
