broadband wireless networking company deploying innovative end-to-end
broadband IP Internet solutions to the business and enterprise markets. 

 

Play in integral role in the management and growth in the development of
solutions in the Internet Providing industry.  The successful candidate
will join Skyriver Systems Engineering Team the group that manages and
maintains our network infrastructure.  Our client network is a blend of
FreeBSD and Windows Servers that provide critical services like E-Mail,
DNS, Web Services, Spam Filtering, FTP, IMAP, POP3 and a host of
monitoring for our internal team with RRDTool and Cacti.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

*             Manage all network applications and services for Skyriver
broadband customers. (web, dns, email, etc)

*             Mange deployments of WiFi Networks across the country.
Some travel will be required. 

*             Support and enforce company information policies and
procedures.

*             Oversee backup procedures and maintain disaster recovery
plans.

*             Recommend purchases, upgrades, patches, and new
applications and equipment.

*             Manage company email system (MS-Exchange), anti-virus
management (Symantec), and spam email filtering management

 

Required Knowledge:

 

*             At least 2 - 3 years Unix/Linux Systems Administration
experience.

*             Knowledge of how to configure, maintain, deploy, and
upgrade Apache Web Server, Sendmail, Postfix, and BIND.

*             At least 2 - 3 years Windows Systems Administration
experience.

*             Knowledge of how to configure, maintain, deploy, and
upgrade Active Directory, Small Business Server, IIS, and MSSQL.

*             CCNA equivalent knowledge of TCP/IP and switching and
routing technologies.

*             Knowledge of 802.11x wireless technologies a plus.

*             Able to be on call to our afterhours NOC one night a week
and one weekend a month.

*             Communications skills (written and verbal)

*             Flexibility to work with multiple business
functions/capabilities

*             Available to be on call one night per week
