energetic individual to help maintain 225 servers in our data center and
provide tech support for our customers as needed.

Salary is based upon skill level and experience. Health insurance and

Requirements:

* Applicants must be familiar with FreeBSD/Linux operating systems
* 5+ years of system administration experience
* Experience managing multiple networked servers/machines
* Experience working with server hardware and building/upgrading custom
servers
* Excellent communication skills (written/spoken), ability to clearly convey
ideas/concepts
* Strong organizational skills (training available if needed)
* Ability to work individually and with a group
* Ability to manage multiple projects with schedules/deadlines
* Willingness to explore new solutions and technologies
* Desire to learn and improve upon own work
* Degree and/or certifications a plus (not required)


Responsibilities:

* Operating system upgrades, patches
* Imaging distribution drives for deployment in new servers
* Software installation and configuration (MySQL, Apache, PHP, BIND, Perl,
webmin, etc)
* Implementing virtualization technologies (server consolidation)
* Diskless servers (using NFS, iSCSI to boot server images on a NetApp)
* Supporting customer requests (shared / dedicated accounts)
* Documentation of all work processes for business systemization


Pending work includes:

* Migration of FreeBSD servers to SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (or another
Linux OS)
* Supporting multiple client operating systems
* Integrating high availability solutions, clustering, and virtualization
technologies.
* Network storage solutions via NetApp FAS3020c
* Convert Direct Attached Storage (DAS) servers to diskless, booting from or
NetApp FAS3020c via iSCSI / NFS
