ADSL for use on server

Just already said, get an external modem and connect it via Ethernet.

Setting the modem's internal IP address as the gateway address will be 
all what you have to do at your machine.

You will have to tell the modem some more information about the line and 
you will have to set up NAT if you want to allow the world to visit your 
network.

This concept has also the advantage that it will work with any machine 
you will buy in the future as long it supports Ethernet.
