Ultra ATA card doesn't seem to provide Ultra speeds.

Possibly, but you need to give us info so we can try to diagnose the
problem "it doesn't work" it not enough, so please provide at least:

FreeBSD version (output of uname -a)
Boot log (output of dmesg)
