Typing in Gnometerminal on Gnome-2.6 now slower?

Whoooo! I am not alone.. :-) See here:

http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-gnome/2004-April/006221.html

You can edit in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/vte/files/patch-src_vte.c by
change from 50 to 15, then close gnome-terminal and run portupgrade -f
vte\* in xterm. After that, test on gnome-terminal and let us know if it
helps. It does solve my problem of "frame-by-frame" and "feel slow".

Cheers,
Mezz
