Unable to install gstreamer-0.8.

On my last system I have been unable to complete the upgrade to 2.6
because gstreamer-0.8 won't install. I'm getting errors in the parse
stuff and I have no idea what might be biting me. This is my oldest
system, having been updated repeatedly from V3.3 though V4 to
current. It may have some really old crap left over in some directory,
although I have tried to clean things up.

Here is the error:
