GNOME 2.6: trouble with menu configuration?

Both works fine for me. I had to restart my panel in order to get the
new folder displayed, but that was the only problem.
Perhaps you have some old configuration files around:
~/.gnome*
~/.gconf*
~/.nautilus
come to my mind.
