Thats an excelent idea -- its always good to have different ideas so the
best solution can be found. I would support the introduction of this
idea, if my idea is rejected.

Compolsory *core* GNOME ports, such as gnomesession, nautilus, and other
portsm, could be added as dependicies to the gnome2-lite port so people
can be sure that they have all the neccessary GNOME bits and also be
able to specify excatly what applications they install after they have
done building the gnome2-lite ports.
