You can do this already using the ZFS support in FreeBSD.  You just need to
make sure that when you create the pool, you only enable features that are
supported on all OSes.  If the pool has a feature enabled that one of the
OSes doesn't support, then that OS won't be able to import it.

It will be the same in the future when using the ZoL repo to build ZFS
support for FreeBSD.
