Yeah, that post is basically irrelevant to your described issue.  Vbox has
changed a lot since then, #1 being it's in the ports tree now.  You've not
actually related what the core issue is though.  vboxnetadp.ko is needed for
host-only networking mode, most people don't need this and quite useless for
almost anything.  Are you aware of this?

Do not do this.  This why crontab didn't work for you.
