Hi,

I think this would be a good idea. FreeBSD as a project won't sponsor
it, but if there are enough people interested in this, there is no
reason why it would not succeed. There are other forums out there such
as bsdforums.org. I don't think yours would grow as big being that you
are in a niche, but that is fine. After all it is about helping
others, right? :)
