Judging from the overwhelming respons, people agree that this is the way
to go. At least I like it :)

Now I've just have to find an empty hour or so to write up some
guidelines for the top of /usr/ports/CHANGES, which I'd like to create
with portmgr's permission and write a section for the porter's handbook.

Bruce, would you mind working with me on adding a section to the release
notes (after the release of 5.2) ?
