no permissions to libc.so.x libpthread.so.x and other files

I'm running 6-BETA2 and experience problems with some kde applications.

Looking around, i've noticed that i can't change permissions to such 
files as libc.so.5 or libpthread.so.1 and so on, even in single-user 
mode. (no such problem under 5.3-Release)
Is it normal for 6-BETA2? if not, can this be a reason of my kde 
applications to crash (kmail, kdevelop) with errors in libc.so.6 and 
libpthread.so.2 libraries
