FreeBSD 6 is coming too fast

This is not a FreeBSD performance bug.  FreeBSD 5.x uses gcc 3.x,
which takes longer to compile code than gcc 2.x because it does much
more optimization.

Since you were wrong about the above, I have to ask whether you have
evidence of this.
