EHCI considered harmful?

With the base USB ?  Regular USB works just fine for me on the same 
hardware.  Can you quantify what you mean by similar ?  If I had to take a 
guess by whats reported in -current, -stable and -questions, I would have 
thought there are 1/10th the problems.
