machine hangs up solid.

im trying to compile a kernel module, via nfs:
	/usr/src is nfs mounted
and so is /usr/obj. The server is running 4.9.

it starts working, but then the machines hangs solid, nothing moves,
I can get into the kernel debugger:
(i've done this several times, and it's always hangs in the sames spot)
