When adding the following lines to /etc/rc.conf:
ntpd_enable="YES"
ntpd_flags="-gc /etc/ntp/ntp.conf"

ntpd will fail to start becuase /etc/rc.d/ntpd on line 18 has the configuration file of:
required_files="/etc/ntp.conf"
 
hardcoded into the script.
