Ah, I wrote the same moment as you :-) …

You are always „root“ on your own copy of the Fbsd-master-branch
„master“ is a predefined term of GitHub, means that is the branch 
you see in svn as the current -branch.. other branches are mostly „test branches“, user- beta builds or something like that.
