I had not done a note but I think compile time was about 8 hours.
I had no entries in /etc/make.conf.
src and obj tree are on an old (and slow) portable USB harddrive:
da0: <Maxtor Basics Portable 0122> Fixed Direct Access SPC-2 SCSI device
