I've created a mailling list for portuguese speakers called
freebsd at iqm.unicamp.br to subscribe to the list just send a mail to:
listproc at iqm.unicamp.br (no subject needed) with the following message
text: subs freebsd Your Name to signof the list just send a signof
freebsd to the same address to post to the list use the address
freebsd at iqm.unicamp.br
