Hi,
I am trying to install FreeBSD 5.3 onto a Digital Personal Workstation 500au.
However, when booting from the CD (or floppies), the CPU halts and attempts to
boot again. The output of this loop is shown below, along with some
configuration info below that. I have tried moving the SCSI card from the
32-bit slot to a 64-bit slot, and I also tried removing the other two PCI
devices (a NIC and a graphics card). Neither action made any difference.
All the firmware has just been updated to the latest version. Also, I am able
to install version 4.11 from CD without any problem.
I would really apreciate any hints or ideas that people have on this.
