Promise RM8000 news [was Re: aic7xxx]

Hi Guys,
so it comes another time to the point where we suffer from identical problems highly propable having different causes: I have a SX4000, not a RM8000. I have only 4 disks in total, so I cannot remove :-)
Anyway: I think we made an error in buying Promise. Since the our driver people (namely Mr. Gibbs) are highly responsive in contrast to the Promise people I think it is wise to trust in Mr. Gibbs and assigning the blame to Promise (what, in fact, does not help at all :-(( )
So, propably a new bios will come up one day in the future and propably they will understand their issues and fix the DV initialization structure.
Besides: if there is anything I can do for you guys, let me know. Thanks for giving the comments to me!

Good news!? Ok, something good is happening when the tower has 1 disk less.

I too have the tower functioning OK since i removed one disk!
