Hi all,
whoever suffers from the tons of messages regarding "data overrun detected in XXX phase" with promise devices:
there is a suggestion that does not solve the actual problem but removes the messages. Please see the patch attached to this email (against 2.4.26, 27, 28 - kernel). It would propably be better to include this in the module options, but I was too lazy to do this :-)
