aic79xx not working 2.4.23, resolved

I now know whats behind the trouble: ACPI.

Removing ACPI support from kernel makes driver work.
Unfortunately this makes trouble with detecting all CPUs..

So probably this had nothing to do with the aic79xx driver at all..

Hopefully som other lost soul may be helped by this.
