Bug ID: 271600
Summary: X11 dilapidation or many outdated ports
Product: Ports & Packages
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: Individual Port(s)
Assignee: x11@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: jbeich@FreeBSD.org
Many X11 updates are notified via xorg-announce@ and Repology. None of those
seems to propagate into ports. This has already led to delays in security
updates (e.g., bug 268963 and bug 270485 forced via VuXML). If x11@ team is no
longer interested in X11 (unlike DRM, Mesa, Wayland, etc) then MAINTAINER needs
to be reset to avoid misleading existing users.
