Every politician tells you that you need to meet people where they
*are*, not where you want them to be. You need to weigh up 2 mostly
opposing forces:

- your ethics on supporting privacy-centric platforms
- your desire to build up a community who uses other platforms

If you want to start a community group, you (or somebody else in
the kernel that launches this group), will need to be willing to
evangelise from those networks.

You may find that https://docs.mobilizon.org/about/ or bonfire
https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app may give you
the technical functionality you're looking for, but you'll
still need to figure out how to build the bridge to get the
word out.
