It could be disabled there. For me it isn't (on a system with netdata 1.40.x) and I don't see the number of open files either. Seems netdata needs a bit of love on FreeBSD (on 14-current and 15-current it also spams the error log with a particular zfs-arcstats kstats which are not available... maybe existed before in a previous version).
