Not yet.
As I said, I'm trying to find out if this is a FreeBSD specific problem 
(in which case I'll report it to FreeBSD's bugzilla) or a more general X 
problem (in which case I need to report it to Mozilla).

I assume you tried this on FreeBSD, not on Linux?
