Focusing on sh (and not removing csh from base):
the heads-up to the freebsd-current@ list was four years ago,

Since base d410b585b6f0 was committed to main (for CURRENT and ultimately
RELEASE) a month later, freebsd-stable might be the best place to discuss pros
and cons (not in this bug report, please). Thank you.
