I am fine with closing this PR as the main issue with checksum offloading seems
fixed. I guess the larger question is should routing performance be impacted so
significantly. I havent done any tests in a while, but I dont recall if using
em nics in a VM have the same negative impact or not. For my use case, turning
off LRO when using a VM as a firewall/router just becomes a tuneable for me. 
But I imagine others *might* run into this and not know that needs to be done ?
