    .gitignore: ignore additional unwanted files
    
    Ignore more files generated by toolchains, e.g., `.pico`, etc. Ignore the
    `.DS_Store` produced by macOS as well because all they provide is
    additional file metadata that shouldn't be committed to `git`.
