Did you ask approval before assigning maintainership to the respective teams?
I'm asking because some (e.g., multimedia@) are understaffed and adding more
work to the few members left is going to eventually burn them out. Another issue
is you're adding unnecessary barriers for other contributors e.g., patches
against those ports would likely have to wait for maintainer timeout and, even
then, few committers are actually courageous enough to apply timeout against
team vs. individual maintainer due to poor visibility of pending work in
external repositories.

gnome@ would be a better place as this port is rarely used outside of DE.
However, gnome@ appears to be understaffed as well.

Why not the same maintainer as multimedia/mlt? See WWW in pkg-descr.
