GSoC overall status reports for the web site

Hi,

Since we're approximately at the end of the GSoC and the next set of quarterly reports are due soon, please could each student, mentor, or some combination of the two submit a brief report on the project to monthly@?  This should contain:

- A short overview of the project (what it was, why it was considered useful)
- What progress was made, how close things are to committing
- Anything else that you consider relevant.
