do i have to use all the security bulletins ?

What version of FreeBSD are you running? freebsd-update was only
introduced in 6.1 if i remember rightly.
If you dont have it, its worth installing all the security updates by
hand if they are for services you use.
I'm re-including the list since there are plenty more people who can
help there :)
