Deregister a port?

Only by futzing with the package database directly, which is not
recommended.

Why would you want to do this anyway?  Misleading the pkg database as to
what is actually installed on your machine is generally a bat idea.  If
you're trying to work around a package conflict, there are usually
better ways to do it.  Tell us the details and we may be able to help.
