ports need a uniq identifier, do you have any suggestion?

Chose a delimiter which is unlikely to show up in a portname, ore use
e.g. 4 underscores. The generic idea is not bad, you just have to find
a suitable delimiter, and IMO it doesn't matter if it is ugly (like
____), or not.
