FreeBSD Port: torcs-1.2.1

Dear Sir!
      Ive got problem using the keyboard control in Torcs Game, when i
throttle and i try to break after, the car breaks but he continues to
accelerate. And i can only steer right, or only steer left. I am using
FreeBSD 4.8, package from FreeBSD Site. After game over i see message "
refresh error ..." on the terminal screen.Can You help me to decide my
problem?
