Openoffice 2.0 and KDE

They don't even get installed. A bit of googling reveals that on 
different Linux distributions, KDE menu entries either do or do not 
appear. So it seems that the OpenOffice.org folks leave it to the 
individual packagers to provide a means of updating the KDE menu - which 
is a shame considering that by the work of freedesktop.org, the way the 
menu is updated should be nicely standardized across distributions these 
days.

As long as OpenOffice.org doesn't provide a universal way, the only 
solutions are either for every user to dig out the icons from somewhere 
(they are most likely to be found in the source tarball) or for someone 
to write a little installation script to be included in the port.
