Software Engineer (iPrism)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Join the iPrism development team in maintaining and enhancing our 
award-winning iPrism Web filtering appliance. This job will be 
responsible for assisting with the definition and implementation of new 
features and upgrades in software and hardware integration. Includes 
upfront analysis and design work, as well as coding, integration and 
debugging. This job will also require coordination of external vendors to 
specify, develop and build Intel-based server hardware systems. Work is 
done in a FreeBSD environment using open source tools. Tasks vary from 
small 2-3 weeks jobs to larger, multi-month tasks. Some work will be done 
individually, other as part of a larger team. Assist Technical Support 
and Quality Assurance staff in troubleshooting and testing the product. 
Occasionally work with external customers. Some authoring of help text 
and other technical documentation.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree plus 5+ years experience.
Strong UNIX/FreeBSD internals and networking.
Strong i386 architecture knowledge.
Configuration management (e.g. CVS, GNATS)
Experience programming in the following languages: C/C++, Perl, shell.
Java and SQL experience a plus.

Salary is Market/DOE.
