While that is a good idea, why should a script be used, if there can be
another, and easier, way to automatically adjust the port to build only
certain appliactions? And not everyone is good at making script -- I
personally can only make very simple scripts.

I don't see the point in having different ports having its own system
for custom dependicies. Why x11/gnome2 doesn't follow the standard
method of using the WITHOUT_* system puzzles me. Most of the other ports
I use take advantage of that system...why not gnome2?
