Single User Mode Hangs on R-PI B

Hi all,

I have been having trouble getting single user mode to work using the
command "init 1".  It works on the R-PI RELEASE image but not on either the
STABLE or CURRENT images.  Are there any easy fixes to this?  (Sorry if
this is a known issue or was answered elsewhere)
