 The ACPI warnings are just saying that it can't read battery status, they are 
 unrelated to the other problems.  6.1 doesn't support SATA CD/DVD drives, 
 which is probably why he doesn't see the CD/DVD drive.  For some reason he 
 doesn't have a psm0 device which explains the touchpad not working.  ACPI 
 should enumerate a psm0 device, but even if it doesn't he can always use a 
 hint to create one.
