AHA-294X hangs at boot (5.2.3)

Hello,

Has anyone seen hangs during system startup when using the 5.2.3 aic7xxx
driver on the 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 kernels? 5.2.0 also fails. The 6.1.5 patch
does not apply properly, so I have not tried that.

If so, how did you fix the problem?

The same system runs fine with 2.2.17 and 3.2.4 of aic7xxx.
