ultra or not

Hi,

It sure sounds like the Ultra SCSI version of Adaptec's 2940. For comparison,
here's what it says on one of my non-ultra 2940 cards:

    Assy 566506-01
    AHA-2940 933700-01 A 9531

You could double-check by putting the card in a chassis and going into SCSI
Select (press Control-A when prompted by the card BIOS at POST time).

If I remember right, the 2940U has an option under "Advanced configuration" to
enable Ultra SCSI transfer rates... If I were you, I'd look for (and enable)
that first, then see if the card will let you set transfer rates greater than
10 MB/sec on (for example) SCSI ID 0 in "SCSI Device Configuration"...

Good luck,
Bill
