2940-UW: cannot use disk

Hello,

I send a mail yesterday to report a problem with mke2fs and a 2940-UW
connected IBM disk. The error messsage was that mke2fs sees the sector 0
as bad. I tested the disk drive on Nt with the same type of adaper this
morning, and everything runs perfect. So I continue to suspect the
driver....
Tape drive and CD-Rom runs good (tested this morning). But I can NOT
create a file system.
