Lockups

Hello there,

I'm experiencing random lockups; I previously thought it was my ethernet
card since major network transfers were origionally what sparked the
problems but now I'm thinking it's my disks (I've replaced the ethernet
card, and it did this during a major file copy without network stuff).
They're on a SCSI Adaptec AIC-7895 Ultra SCSI host adapter -- the sort
that
comes on the Intel dual-PentiumII motherboards. I'm using kernal
2.0.34.
I have two disks, their information under /proc/scsi/scsi is as follows:

Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00
Vendor: IBM Model: DCAS-34330W Rev: S65A
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 06 Lun: 00
Vendor: IBM Model: DCAS-34330W Rev: S65A
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

When the machine crashes, it locks -DEAD- and when rebooting sometimes
it does some severe fsck barfs (last time it did it, luckily, I had
sync'd
the disks not too long ago and didn't have any serious problems).

I get massive SCSI boot messages when I turn my computer on, here they
are
if this helps any:

The syslogs show no messages when the machine crashes. PLease help me,
I'm
totally SCSI illiterate and I don't know anyone over here in Raleigh, NC
who
can help me :-(
